Camp Calvin Crest

The Trail

Calvin Crest mtb trail is located on the bluffs of the Platte River. 95% of the trail is in deciduous pine and cedar trees. The trail starts at the top of the bluff and rolls down and up drainage to a center spine of cedars that about a mile. Then it climbs out to the top of the bluff where five switchbacks take users down the 100’ bluff face to the river bottom. At the bottom is a 30’ cable suspension bridge that allows users to cross the Platte River (bikes need to go single-file). The trail continues along the Platte River bank before turning uphill for a quarter mile climb up the bluff face, then a few more switchback climbs before riding a cabin sidewalk back to the parking lot.

The trail is about 4 miles in length. Level: easy to moderate

The Venue

The trail is located at Calvin Crest Camp Conference and Retreat Center. A few times per year the trail is closed because of events being held. Please consult the camp’s mtb trail page for rules when on their property, days and hours of public access as well as verifying that a new event didn’t close public access.
